Goedemorgen Peanut Butterer

Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownies

Makes 10


  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp mesquite powder, optional
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean powder 
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter, melted 
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup cacao butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/3 cup coconut nectar 
  • 3 organic eggs, separated 
  • 80g raw dark chocolate and additional peanut butter, to swirl 


  1. Preheat oven to 180̊C
  2. Combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Then add peanut butter, coconut oil, cacao butter, almond milk. coconut nectar, and egg yolks.
  4. Mix well. 
  5. Whisk egg whites until firm peaks form and then gently fold into the mixture. 
  6. Grease and line a medium-sized baking tin and spoon in the brownie mixture.
  7. Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 mins. 
  8. Allow to cool for 10-15 mins. 
  9. To create swirl effect, melt chocolate using a double-boiler and spread on top of brownies.
  10. Use a skewer to create swirl effect with the extra peanut butter.
