A REALLY GOOD LABEL FOR A REALLY GOOD CAUSE

We've been supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters as a sponsor since 2015, donating to their regional branch and contributing to its fundraising events with product and marketing help. We will continue our business as usual support for the regional office in addition to this really good label campaign.

Buyers of really good labelled jars of Pic’s Peanut Butter are helping to contribute to a total of $50,000 to grow the reach of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programme.

100,000 jars of 380g crunchy and smooth with the special label are on sale in Pic’s usual New Zealand outlets from Peanut Butter World in Nelson to supermarkets all around the country. Make sure to pic' up a jar!

“The partnership and sponsorship support from Pic's is invaluable as it provides us with the opportunity to continue to grow the programme beyond the current 900 active matches. There are many children and young people that need a Big Brother or Big Sister and with the support of Pic’s it will assist our organisation to continue to make more matches as we collaboratively strive to meet the need across Aotearoa New Zealand." says Big Brothers Big Sisters NZ CEO Drew Ewan

More recently we supported Big Brother's Big Sisters with a charity auction for our NZ Homegrown Peanut Butter. You can read all about it here.

Pic is a big supporter!

Ten years ago, Big Brothers Big Sisters introduced Pic to a very bright seven-year-old living with his mum in Nelson. We hung out for an hour most weekends, and with the backing of the Big Brothers team our time together became a weekly highlight for both of us.

He’s now a builder down in Christchurch and I am stoked that Pic’s are able to support this amazing programme. By buying this jar, you're supporting them too!

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters is an international programme that made its New Zealand debut in Nelson. It now provides professionally-supported, one-on-one mentoring relationships between a child and an adult volunteer for more than 900 kids across Aotearoa.

“Our programme ignites the potential in young people, and allows their mana to shine through,” says Big Brothers Big Sisters NZ CEO Drew Ewan. “It’s a simple concept and it is very powerful. It provides hope, builds confidence and resilience, and helps the young person make better choices.

“The outcomes from the BBBS NZ programme show that through the relationship with our mentors, the young person benefits by way of improved wellbeing, becoming more resilient, making better decisions and choices, and developing hope for the future – this is why it is so important that we collectively stand up and defend the potential of young people.”
