On Pic’s Slugs: “Essentially “fitness” boils down to efficiency. The “fitter” we are is just the more efficient our body is at burning fat as a fuel. A huge part of increasing fitness, especially in an endurance sport like pro-cycling with some races lasting up 21 days comes from training on the right type of fuel (low GI, high protein) and essential quality hi-oleic fats makes Pic’s the perfect food to get me through 35 hours a week on the bike with the morale and body still intact. Just as important as what IS in Pic’s is what is NOT in it! No bad stuff because cycling is hard enough on my body without having to deal all of that.

HAYDEN SQUANCE AKA THE PIC'S SLUG-IN-ATOR
My name's Hayden and I have recently been appointed the Pic's Peanut Butter Slug Ambassador. Having been an avid Picster for the last 10 years I am very excited to be part of the team. I am a 19-year-old triathlete from Nelson and have been racing in the National Triathlon Series over the summer which Pic's has been sponsoring. I have one more triathlon on Sunday at the Sea2Sky Challenge in Christchurch so if you're there make sure you come and say hi. The Pic's Slugs are great for fuelling up on the go or a perfect size for adding to smoothies.
